Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing costs related to our manufacturing processes, ensuring accurate cost reporting, and providing insights to enhance financial efficiency and support decision-making.


Key Responsibilities:

Cost Management: Analyze manufacturing costs, prepare detailed cost reports, and evaluate variances between actual and standard costs.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, offering insights into cost drivers and financial trends.

Inventory Valuation: Oversee inventory costing methodologies, ensuring precise valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements focusing on manufacturing costs and profitability.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization across the manufacturing operations.

Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with production, engineering, and procurement teams to gather data and provide financial insights.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements; assist with audits as needed.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA )or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling and cost analysis.

Familiarity with Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and proficiency in advanced Excel functions.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
