Position Summary:
The Braiding/Coiling Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining braiding and coiling machinery used in the production of medical tubing. This role involves ensuring the efficient and safe operation of equipment, monitoring production processes, and maintaining product quality to meet established specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor braiding and coiling machines to produce medical tubes, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot braiding and coiling equipment to optimize performance and product quality.
Conduct regular inspections of raw materials and finished products to verify compliance with specifications and industry standards.
Maintain accurate production records, including material usage, equipment performance, and any quality control issues.
Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to identify and resolve production challenges and improve processes.
Perform routine maintenance on braiding and coiling equipment and assist with repairs as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations throughout the production process.
Assist in training new team members on braiding and coiling processes and safety practices.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in braiding, coiling, or related manufacturing processes, particularly in the medical device industry, is highly desirable.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
Knowledge of quality control procedures and regulatory requirements relevant to medical device manufacturing.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with production management software.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, requiring adherence to safety protocols-
May involve standing for extended periods and lifting materials as needed.
